Our history
From Code to Chai
We’re Satish & Nitya — a couple, parents, ex-software engineers, and now, the force behind DBC CAFE.
In the middle of juggling IT jobs and raising our newborn, we craved something simple — real South Indian food. The kind that hits home. But in a city full of burgers, pizza, and shawarma… there was no dosa, no biryani, no proper chai.
So we quit comfort.
Rolled up our sleeves.
And built DBC CAFE — a name that speaks loud and clear:
Dosa. Biryani. Chai.
That’s it. No long Indian names. No confusion.
Canadians already loved those three — we just brought them together and made it everyone’s favorite, no matter where you're from.
